Unclear if this bug is unity or compiz, however, see below.

If compiz screenshot feature (key default to <Super>Button1) is used to take a 
screenshot, the highlighting of the selection
spanned with <Super>Button1 is seen on the shoot (to my knowledge a unity 
feature).  This means the screenshot is taking a
picture of unity selection rather than of what is behind (see attachment).
