I did the other two commands (I do not have a gps connected, I just have the .gdb file): gustavo$ sudo modprobe garmin_gps gustavo$ gpsbabel -i gdb -f la_ponderosa_way_points.gdb -o garmin -F /dev/ttyUSB0[ERROR] XSERIAL: Cannot open serial port '/dev/ttyUSB0': No such file or directory [ERROR] Cannot open serial port '/dev/ttyUSB0' GARMIN:Can't init /dev/ttyUSB0 gustavo$ I will try to use your first advice to import the gdb file into grass- gis.
