** Description changed:

- Binary package hint: logcheck
+ IMPACT: up-to one logcheck email generated every hour (in practice this
+ depends on DNS traffic), makes logcheck a spam source unless config is
+ fixed locally

- Seeing as Lucid is LTS it would be good if we backported the
logcheck-database.
- For example, bind9 in lucid reports lots of "after reducing the advertised
EDNS UDP packet size to 512 octets" messages which later logcheck-database
versions ignore, but 1.3.7ubuntu1 does not.
+ PROPOSED FIX: fix regular expression to allow for the missing log
+ entries

- $ lsb_release -rd
- Description: Ubuntu 10.04.2 LTS
- Release: 10.04
+ TESTCASE: egrep -vf /etc/logcheck/ignore.d.server/bind test-logfile
+ (attached)

- $ apt-cache policy logcheck-database logcheck-database:
- Installed: 1.3.7ubuntu1
- Candidate: 1.3.7ubuntu1
- Version table:
- *** 1.3.7ubuntu1 0
- 500 http://ftp.iinet.net.au/linux/ubuntu/ lucid-updates/main Packages
- 1.3.7 0
- 500 http://ftp.iinet.net.au/linux/ubuntu/ lucid/main Packages
+ REGRESSION POTENTIAL: low overall; conffile prompt while upgrading if
+ any conffiles need to be merged; regular expression might also still be
+ incomplete/incorrect after update, but that wouldn't really be a
+ regression; this comes from tested latest version of logcheck
