I don't know how to change pathnames. There definitely isn't any scipy
or numpy in my home directory, which is where I ran python from.

What else can I do to confirm?

I'm a fairly expert python programmer, but I am totally confused about
how python is deployed on Ubuntu, and it's changed (it seems) every rev
of Ubuntu for the last few years. For my work, I usually use virtual-
environment, but am not doing so this time, so I don't know how to
inspect my site-packages.

"scipy" and "numpy" packages are certainly in /usr/share/pyshared but
there's nothing in numpy called multiarray.

Thanks.
