Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: amarok

When I try to use my CD-ROM to play a CD, there's no sound.
I tried to hear the clip about Mandela that is in the "examples", i can see the
video, but no sound can be heard.
I tried to hear the sound in Rhythmbox, and again there is no sound.
In the Ubuntu Sound Preferences, I clicked on PC speakers. At first, it was all
on auto-detect, but no sound. Now I have clicked Trident 4D Wave IEC958, but
still no sound.
yours sincerely, micfreedom
