Add me to the list. Dell Insprion 600m toasted by the update. I suggest posting detailed recovery instructions for those who can no longer launch an X session to download a fix, e.g. exact `sudo apt-get install' command. I can probably figure it out once the fix is seeded, but less experienced users won't know what to do.
It's the simplicity of Ubuntu that many of us like, vs. other distros.
