*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 57153 *** Hello everybody, fist sorry if my English is poor but I'm Spanish, well I'm affected with this bug too when I do apt-get dist-upgrade, my hardware is an ATI Radeon Mobile 9700 so I've been using xorg-driver-fglrx with Kubuntu Dapper 6.06.1 I386 and official "dapper" repositories, the bug ocurrs when package "xorg-server (1:1.0.2-0ubuntu9)" is replaced with the new "xorg-server (1:1.0.2-0ubuntu10)", when machine restarts kdm isn't able to fire up any screen/device, I post the error log for people can see I say: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kdm Error:(Seen in /var/syslog) IO Error in XOpenDisplay Display :0 cannot be opened Unable to fire up local display :0; disabling ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Xserver Error:(With ati (radeon X.Org) driver) .........(End of log) (EE) No devices detected
