The same problem with hibernating disappeared on my Samsung X20 with Feisty (upgraded from Edgy last week), when I stopped mounting my swap partition by label LABEL=somelabel in /etc/fstab and instead gave the correct device name.
Interesting enough the swap partition was in use without any problems before that change (as well as after) but hibernating now works.
