I can also confirm that this issue happens in 11.04. Here's what I wanted to do:
I have a game called Myst III that comes in a 4-cd set. If I pop in the first cd, it mounts and I'm able to read from it. However, if I put in the second cd, it doesn't mount it and I can't do a full install.
