This bug was started from a conversation on ubuntu-desktop with the subject: "Consistent, clear application start-up notifications" Here are my two cents.
For sure that would help my grandpa, he's got an older computer and gets frustrated when things don't open right away... He then ends up opening 8 copies of firefox or some .odt file. I think some sort of pulsing icon would be the most recognizable thing for him to understand that "the program/file is loading, please wait a minute." ~Dereck -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/765240 Title: Notifications of applications startup To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/765240/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
