Tadaa, here we go: Sitting here, innocently reading some webcomics and bam, X is a goner.
This time however, i can produce a syslog. When presented with the screen you can see in my, well, screenshots (https://plus.google.com/u/0/117325139616216291072/posts/YvMbRiMfRfZ), i pressed some magic sysreq combinations. While these had no visible effect (with the exception of Alt+SysReq+B, which rebooted the machine), the output about running processes and maybe the kexec dump is visible in the syslog i think. Again, at the time of occurrence, the system was in low-effort state, nothing big to load, no exceptionally demanding applications running. No Bluetooth this time. Only Chromium (with a couple open tabs, yes) and flash. ** Attachment added: "syslog containing a new instance of the kernel Oops plus some magiq Sysrq. hitting maybe that helps" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/871249/+attachment/2539108/+files/syslog -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/871249 Title: BUG: unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at 00000001 - nouveau_fence_update+0xe/0xe0 [nouveau] To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/871249/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
