Almost the same here. One difference: on my laptop, the system freezes entirely, after ejecting the Xubuntu Oneiric CD (final edition). Hitting Enter does not help; only a hard reboot by pressing the power button. This was also the case with a daily build of a couple of days ago, so it's consistent.
Note that the Ubuntu Oneiric Desktop CD doesn't have this problem on the same laptop; it's Xubuntu-only. I have raised this issue with the Xubuntu Oneiric Desktop CD, on the Dutch Ubuntu forum.
