Since this bug was against the Xubuntu cd specifically, it is fixed. If you are experiencing a similar bug using the Ubuntu images or CD, please file a new bug report after starting a live session (boot with the CD in the drive, choose "Try Ubuntu". You open a terminal, and type 'ubuntu- bug ubiquity' without the quotes. This will file a bug report and include the log files required. Also please give the following information in the description of the bug report:
Which image exactly? What partition method? Did you check "download updates" or "Install 3rd party software"? Language? Keyboard? Date of the cd you are using?
