I'd like to verify this. Actually, no multimedia players can play VCDs, but
they do play DVDs without any problems. I've used Kaffeine, VLC, Totem, Xine,
and MPlayer and all of them crashed. This is not a Kaffeine specific issue.

This backtrace appears to be of no use.
This is probably because your packages are built in a way which prevents
creation of proper backtraces, or the stack frame was seriously corrupted in
the crash.
