I shut down my computer after installing vlc player on ubuntu 11.10 and
when it turned back on unity was gone, just some stupid bar that would
only let me open files. I managed to get here by going through ubuntu
one luckily but if I did have that I would be screwed right now! Even in
2D mode there is no unity. I loved ubuntu till this new update. I have
had tons of problems with Unity! If I could just get it working again
without re-installing my whole system that would be great.
