I am using oneiric, linux-image-3.0.0-12-generic 3.0.0-12.20 (latest) and have this same problem with a Logitech C310 webcam. Apart from archlinux already mentioned, even redhat has this bug fixed!!! Here is the diff: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/attachment.cgi?id=517377&action=diff
