I bring up about this bugs extent of the impact about bug #322830.
First, bug #322830 included *same* /var/lib/dbus/machine-id for many(all
-1) Oneric pre-released medias(Alphe*, Beta*, daily-builds, exclude
RTM).
The original reporter of Bug #872788 (mizuno_as) said, "My OneConf does
not work with duplicated ids, if register with duplicated machine-id,
OneConf does not show the another machine.". And, I have same problem.
So:
- If you have multiple machines that installed with same install media, the
OneConf could not work on these machines. You can see only machine itself
(=could not see another machine(s)).
Workaround:
a) exec: sudo /bin/ch -c 'dbus-uuidgen >/var/lib/dbus/machine-id'. (require
reboot?).
