Incorrect. The problem is that upon installation, VMWare Workstation 8 *destroys* the shutdown sequence of the system. Merely adding a mount point doesn't matter, because the shutdown scripts are designed to methodically unmount all mount points in order regardless of their origin; but this doesn't work when /etc/rc6.d has been scrambled, because 'reboot' suddenly gets called in parallel with the unmounting. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/858122 Title: incomplete migration to /run (shutdown script order has been demolished) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-release-notes/+bug/858122/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
