Unfortunately firestarter is needed for me to be able to have any connection at all, otherwise protocol GRE is blocked and no connection is made. On another note, when specifying to iptables that the IP adress I connect to should have full access (which then solves the GRE problem) I cán connect. However I then still have no permissions to ping for some reason. It would be much better if it did just work though :-)
