Please note that the first patch I attached (which seems to be the one that went into the builds mentioned in comment #4) is not good: it fixes alt+backspace but unfixes utf8 keybindings. Dropping the patch completely is saner than applying that patch. I have attached a second patch to the irssi bug that I believe makes more sense and has held up under my own testing so far.
Please test not just alt+backspace but also utf8 keybindings (my testcase is "/bind meta-€ scroll_backward", as I lack other non-ascii mapped keys). If utf8 keybindings do not work dropping the patch entirely is the better fix. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/874144 Title: 18bind_utf8-fix patch breaks alt-backspace behavior To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/irssi/+bug/874144/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
