Do you have whitelisted the systray, either by:
gsettings set com.canonical.Unity.Panel systray-whitelist "['mail-
notification']"
or
gsettings set com.canonical.Unity.Panel systray-whitelist "['all']"
Please mark the bug as "new" as you ansswer, as "confirmed" is reserved
to some other user with the same issue.
