Public bug reported:
i have just upgraded from ubuntu 11.04 to 11.10. nautilus was working totally
fine in 11.04.
now, after i log in, if i click on an icon on the desktop, or try to open
nautilus from the side panel or top panel, then nautilus crashes, all icons
disappear from the desktop and it stays like that - does not automatically
restart.
when i try to open nautilus from the side panel or from menu, usually after
several tries it works and nautilus restarts and from thereon till next
logout-login or system restart it works perfectly.
using nautilus 3.2.0 and ubuntu 11.10 desktop edition with 2 gb ram.
using it on an acer 7520G laptop with nvidia video card.
please tell me if you need more data.
