ok i just solved the problem no more need to search...found it in some
other launchpad bugs report...
just take care of the whole directory:
sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/* -vf
then try updating: sudo apt-get update
then try to use the update-manager
just restart your ubuntu and thats all;upgrade done.
