i have the same issue, when i close down ubuntu 11.10 and then restart the
computer i get a boot failed error message and have to press F1 to contiune.
also if i restart the computer and load windows the computer hard resets just
after the windows login screen, both issues started with 11.04, if i use the
LTS release i dont get the above problems.
