Public bug reported: After installing vim-gnome a shortcut to Gvim text editor is not available in the dash. After starting it (e.g. Alt-F2 -> 'gvim') the icon it appears with in the launcher is not pretty. This is a regression from Ubuntu 11.04.
/usr/share/applications/gvim.desktop exists in 11.10 and the only difference between this and the same file in 11.04 is: $ diff 11.10/gvim.desktop 11.04/gvim.desktop 75c75 < Icon=/usr/share/pixmaps/vim.svg --- > Icon=vim Furthermore, the icon used in 11.04 also exists in 11.10. ** Affects: vim (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/876262 Title: Gvim launcher doesn't appear in dash; appears in launcher with bad icon To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/vim/+bug/876262/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
