You can see two things here.

The most obvious is that the X session is aborted prematurely, forcibly
disconnecting a number of X clients.

The second most obvious is a shell script error at the start:
[: 279: !=: unexpected operator

(why isn't this script run with "set -e" ?!)

There are many other differences (just use a graphical diff viewer)
which may also be informative.
