1. Unity has structured program groups (I assume you mean it lists programs by category) 2. You have got to be kidding me 3. Then report a bug against that 4. how is it close to impossible? Exaggerate much? You type in the name of the program you want and it appear, you can see all installed programs, programs you frequently use, sort by category and rating, and finding programs to install has never been faster or easier.

Unity is no where near 'impossible to use', if you find it 'impossible to use' I suggest you're doing something wrong, maybe your monitor is turned off? :P If you want to complain about unity try making a post here: http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=302 Anyway Gnome2 isn't maintained any more, the stuff was buggy as hell anyway and nobody wants to fix it, the closest you're going to get is Xubuntu. A bug report isn't going to make a difference, however if you do find any real bugs in unity or want to shape the future of unity I'd recommend following this forum: http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=412 and making your input heard there. Have fun :) ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/876666 Title: Ubuntu classic missing in Ubuntu 11.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/876666/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
