As bwallum has mentioned, the current behavior is about the best it could be. Whether conforming to the current design or not shouldn't be subservient to what's best.
As it stands now the 2 biggest complaints can be resolved by user choice - One is the issue of inadvertently exposing the launcher when going for the quit button - that can't happen whether the user has the left top corner or left edge reveal set The other issue with the launcher being exposed when working on the left side of a window, like the back button in firefox, this currently can be resolved by the user by selecting the top left corner and deselecting the left edge So whether intended or not you currently have got it correct & certainly should consider leaving it that way. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/839677 Title: Launcher - Launcher fails to reveal when the pointer is positioned in the bottom- or top-left corner of the screen To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/839677/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
