I tried doing it on command line :

$ sudo do-release-upgrade -p

Although I get this:

WARNING: Failed to read mirror file

it is able to get the package data :

Get:13 http://mirror.switch.ch oneiric Release [40.8 kB]

but then something happens:

Fetched 15.8 MB in 6s (663 kB/s)

I tried other mirrors same thing. The thing is that it worked before I
canceled, and I can connect to the server using the browser, and the update
manager proposes updates when there are some available and I'm able to upgrade
(had 2 this morning, went ahead and tried, they succeeded). I'm a bit lost
here...
