It does seem like these claims are dubious. Snes9x is still updated upstream and has a public github repository, while the zsnes upstream hasn't changed in almost 5 years. Claiming zsnes is an alternative clearly suggests personal preference, as it doesn't nearly approach the same accuracy as Snes9x, and a better (still free) alternative, bsnes, exists and would make a more applicable replacement.
Still, there's not much one can do when an opinionated maintainer makes a decision. I'm updating my PPA with packages for natty and oneiric now. I'll try to keep it more up-to-date since there are no official packages anymore. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/877073 Title: [needs-packaging] snes9x-gtk To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/877073/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
