It does seem like these claims are dubious. Snes9x is still updated
upstream and has a public github repository, while the zsnes upstream
hasn't changed in almost 5 years. Claiming zsnes is an alternative
clearly suggests personal preference, as it doesn't nearly approach the
same accuracy as Snes9x, and a better (still free) alternative, bsnes,
exists and would make a more applicable replacement.

Still, there's not much one can do when an opinionated maintainer makes
a decision. I'm updating my PPA with packages for natty and oneiric now.
I'll try to keep it more up-to-date since there are no official packages
anymore.
