Oh! I see my confusion now. Sorry, but it appears ia32-libs uninstalled subversion (that would explain why I cannot execute it). If I try to re- install it I get the following error message:
user@host:~$ sudo apt-get install subversion | tee subversion.txt Reading package lists... Building dependency tree... Reading state information... Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: subversion : Depends: libsvn1 (= 1.6.12dfsg-4ubuntu5) but it is not going to be installed E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/877681 Title: Oneric's ia32-libs has unresolved dependencies, breaks subversion To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ia32-libs/+bug/877681/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
