Okay, I logged in, and did the following:
-tried to change a keyring password, saw the untranslated strings, 
-issued gnome-keyring-daemon --replace[1], 
-tried again to change a keyring password, saw the translated strings.

[1]: results were:
$ gnome-keyring-daemon --replace

GNOME_KEYRING_CONTROL=/tmp/keyring-UGi4TK
SSH_AUTH_SOCK=/tmp/keyring-UGi4TK/ssh
