Public bug reported:
When I use the "file" utility against a LUKS-encrypted volume, it claims
to report the UUID of the volume, but the UUID is truncated 5 characters
short.
I run:
sudo file -s /dev/sda2
/dev/sda2: LUKS encrypted file, ver 1 [aes, cbc-essiv:sha256, sha1] UUID:
462f8ffc-1a87-4eeb-970c-120f09c
But blkid (correctly) reports:
sudo blkid /dev/sda2
/dev/sda2: UUID="462f8ffc-1a87-4eeb-970c-120f09ca3671" TYPE="crypto_LUKS"
As you can see, the "a3671" is truncated from the output of file.
