This is apparently a user error. We talked (upstream) in IRC about this,
and you seem to install the forge on a system where it has never been
configured, by means of a noninteractive upgrade.
Your best bet is to:
1) Purge all gforge* and fusionforge* packages (including the configuration)
2) “Clean up the mess”; look at the database and run DROP DATABASE gforge; if
necessary
3) Install Fusionforge with some kind of interactivity (DEBIAN_FRONTEND not set
to noninteractive, debconf priority set to high or even low); enter a “long
enough” database and admin password if asked (6 chars, at the moment)
natty (11.04) had a broken fusionforge 5.0 package, which can never have
worked.
