OS: Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric stable 32-bit
Application: unity 4.22.0-0ubuntu3
After running critical updates via update-manager, the application said
that the system needed to be rebooted for changes to be implemented.
However, the power cog on the Unity panel did not turn red. After
starting Ubuntu Software Centre, the cog finally turned red. Similarly,
the menu said System Up To Date until opening USC, whereupon it said
Restart to Complete Update.
