Public bug reported:
After upgrade from Natty to Oneiric, kernel fails to start. Using ro text debug
photographed trace info, which shows
Code: bad EIP value.
acpi=off allows system to boot, as does nolapic but only one processor out of 2
shows
running Natty as live CD works, and shows 2 processors
other noacpi parameters failed.
latest available BIOS installed
removed sound card, changed video card and monitor no difference.
