To point (c) it should be added that the lack of indication of an active window of LibreOffice on the button of Unity (i.e. absence of little arrows) is connected to a second problem: one cannot open a second window by going to the Unity button and clicking on it! The button starts flashing but stops after a while without producing any kind of result.
I have a second computer on which I installed 11.10 and checked I checked it on the occurrance of the same problems.
