Same occurs to me, way more nasty: got 4gb ram, if I dont pay attention, indicator-applet sucks all memory, swapping out other processes. I sometimes recovered as it had sucked 67% memory! In other cases, I could not recover, had to reboot. Of course I cannot positively assure its due to this. Why dont more people experience this? Well, I run long sessions, not rebooting for weeks. This might explain. Thats a very first bug report for me, in this environment. I decided this when I saw the bug was about to be cancelled, due to incomplete status, and inactivity. Ill try to run valgrind, as suggested.
btw, this is not the first time the bug occurs: cf # Bug #369539 for instance. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/778091 Title: Memory leak To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-applet/+bug/778091/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
