Please obtain a stack trace of the crash. Without that, there will not be enough information for a developer to begin work on this bug.
The best way to do this is to enable Apport crash reporting and file a new report, so I am marking this report as Invalid. (That doesn't mean that you shouldn't have reported it. Instead, Invalid has a specific technical meaning for bugs on Launchpad--see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Status and https://help.launchpad.net/Bugs/Statuses and http://blog.launchpad.net/general/of-bugs-and-statuses.) Before proceeding, please read https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs carefully. Then, to enable Apport crash reporting, see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Apport#How_to_enable_apport. Then trigger the crash. You will be given the opportunity to submit crash data to Launchpad and create a new bug report. In the new bug report, please make sure to describe as thoroughly as possible what actions you took prior to the crash that may have triggered the crash. After submitting the new bug report, you can mark this bug report as a duplicate of the new one. That is not the same action as marking the new(er) bug report a duplicate of this old(er) bug report, which would not be correct. If Apport does not come up when you reproduce the crash, or you are not able to reproduce the crash, then please reopen this bug report by changing its status from Invalid to Incomplete, and post in detail about what actions you took and what happened. Then we can work further in this bug report to obtain the necessary information, either by getting Apport crash reporting to work or by obtaining a stack trace manually. ** Changed in: guake (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/878255 Title: crash guake in lubuntu 11.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/guake/+bug/878255/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
