I'm using: Ubuntu GNOME Shell Remix 11.10 I have the same bug, but the workaround (getent passwd | grep <user> >> /etc/passwd) does not work.
Selecting the session: Classic Gnome works fine. I also notice: I put empathy as a start-up program. When loging into Gnome-shell, the login hangs, I have no menu, but empathy starts with no window decorator (like metacity) .. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/872316 Title: Gnome Shell login not working when authenticating against LDAP To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/872316/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
