Public bug reported:

I've always been using the "List" view in Nautilus. Since Oneiric
however, the view reverts to "Icons" whenever I change directory.

System:
* Ubuntu Oneiric amd64
* Nautilus version 1:3.2.0-0ubuntu5

Steps to reproduce:
* Launch Nautilus by clicking "Home Folder" in the launcher
* Set view to "List" (CTRL-2)
* Double-click on the "Desktop" folder

Expected:
* The "Desktop" folder opens in "List" view

What happens instead:
* The "Desktop" folder opens in "Icons" view

Observations:
* Once you set "List" view, Nautilus remembers it, but _only_ for that folder!
For every new folder, it falls back to "Icons" view. I want "List" view as
default...

** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
