Hi John, I've tried but am unable to reproduce this. I have my laptop with 1280x800 connected to an external monitor 1440x900 with mirroring disabled, and the panel is correctly sized across both screens, no matter what screen I use to log in/kill & start the panel.
Can I enquire as to the resolutions of your screens? Have you tried disabling compositing? gconftool-2 --set --type bool/apps/metacity/general/compositing_manager false I've not looked at your patch yet, but if the logic is superior it might be good to add anyway. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/877012 Title: [panel] on a multi monitor setup the panel length appears to be calculated with the screen in focus at the time of execution To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-2d/+bug/877012/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
