I found a workaround. 1. launch 'vino-preference', or use 'Desktop sharing' shortcut 2. deselect all checked options besides 'Allow other users to view your desktop' 3. deselect 'Allow other users to view your desktop' 4. then check those options one by one, 'control my desktop', 'password'
It's definitely a back compatibility issue, I upgraded to 11.10 from 11.04. The old configuration caused the vino-server crashed. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/870339 Title: vino-server crashed with SIGSEGV in gtk_icon_theme_lookup_icon() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/vino/+bug/870339/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
