Public bug reported:

Description: Ubuntu 11.10
Release: 11.10

  Installed: 4.24.0-0ubuntu2

When I create a plot using R (x11 device), unity groups the resulting window
with "panel", "launcher" and "DNDCollectionWindow", which now appear and have
garbled previews.

Simple steps to reproduce:
1) install GNU R ( r-base package hould be enough)
2) launch R in a terminal
3) execute "plot(1, 1)"

A new window opens, and a generic icon is added to the launcher, with
three dots to the side indicating more than one open window. Alt-tab to
the window and pause, "panel", "launcher" and "DNDCollectionWindow"
appear now in addition to the plot window.

What I expected: "panel", "launcher" and "DNDCollectionWindow" should
not appear in the alt-tab switcher at all, and especially not with R
plot windows. The launcher icon should only show one dot as long as only
one plot is open, and not three.

** Affects: unity (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
