Alright, further testing indicates that the mmc card reader driver is
very likely the culprit.
With no mmc media inserted, the system successfully and swiftly
suspended and resumed from ram three times.
After media was inserted, it had the same failure as previously
reported.
Hopefully that's enough to report something useful upstream!
