Some updates: First- it doesn't happen consistently. Always bad news.
Second - I managed to get a console this time in mid-failed-suspend, and dumped the dmesg to the attached logfile. There are a number of kernel warnings that s2ram is hanging indefinitely. I had at one point installed laptop-mode-tools on this laptop, until I determined that it seemed to have been abandoned and most of its functionality was already enabled in the kernel by ubuntu. So I uninstalled it, but I suspect that something left over from that is interfering with s2ram. ** Attachment added: "shows s2ram failing to complete" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/879159/+attachment/2565593/+files/crash.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/879159 Title: Suspend fails in oneiric on Thinkpad x60 - suspend light just blinks To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/879159/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
