Finally, i re-installed all from scratch without specifying my old home partition. Then the upper-right icon (gear) appeared.
When I edit the fstab to use my home partition, the gear disappeared. So I returned to the preceding working situation, without home partition. I saved my home partition to a new place. I formated my home partition. I moved the standard /home to that partition. And restart : the gear was in the upper-right corner. Then I reinstalled all my data and programs. And I am finishing setting-up all my utilities (firefox, thunderbird, accounts, etc. It is very time-consuming but all work fine. So here is my recommendation : when there is a new version of ubuntu, NEVER UPGRADE ! ALWAYS REINSTALL FROM SCRATCH ! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/876249 Title: no icon to logout (upper-right corner) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-session/+bug/876249/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
