Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: hal
I think this may be a HAL bug, but could be caused by something else. When hald
is running it occasionally detects an audio CD in /dev/hda when there isn't one
there. This brings up Sound Juicer, puts an icon onto the desktop (I use
kdesktop), and trying to open Rhythmbox causes it to check for the CD, bring up
an error about being unable to load it then freeze. I also don't know how to
get rid of these once they are detected, as right-click>eject doesn't do
anything.
I am not sure what triggers these CDs to be detected yet, so I cannot give
steps to reproduce sorry.
