+ When I'm switching user system becomes unusable and computer needs to be
restarted.
+ This is how it happens:
+ 1) I open the user menu and select switch user function from there
+ 2) screen goes black and ubuntu greetings with users selection is displayed
  3) there I select appropriate user and type in password
- 4) nothing happens, no message and password editbox turns white. Greeting
screen is still working, I can scroll users, open up menus etc but can't get
from that screen inside the user's session - it is simply not starting. When
selecting other users - they have no password field at all
- 5) After returning back to main user session - press Ctrl-Alt-F7 I got:
- - wifi network lost its connection. New connection cound't be initialed -
when I select my wifi network from drop-down list - nothing happens at all.
Restarting networking doesn't help. Restarting Network Manager doesn't help
too. Rmmoding/modprobing iwlagn doesn't help too.
- - bottom panel is displaed (while it shound't ) and isn't hide
- - the message in the bottom panel about lost wifi connection doesn't go away
to
- - Ctrl-Alt-Backspace doesn't work (while I configured system so that it does
work)
+ 4) nothing happens, no message is displayed, password editbox turns white.
Greeting screen is still working, I can scroll users, open up menus etc but
can't get from that screen inside the user's session - it is simply not
starting. Also I noticed that when scrolling through users they have no
password field no more.
+ 5) After returning back to the main user session (Ctrl-Alt-F7) I got:
+ - No Internet. Wifi network lost its connection and new connection cound't be
initialed - when I select any wifi network from drop-down list nothing happens
at all. Restarting networking doesn't help. Restarting Network Manager doesn't
help too. Rmmoding/modprobing iwlagn doesn't help too.
+ - bottom panel is displaed (while it shound't ) and is not hiding
+ - the message in the bottom panel about lost wifi connection doesn't go away
too
+ - Ctrl-Alt-Backspace doesn't work (while I configured system so that it does
work)
  - attempting to run switch user again from the user menu just makes the
screen to go black. Touching mouse simply turn it on so I'm still in my main
session.
  - switching to the second session (Ctrl-Alt-F8) restores semi-working
greeting screen (see (4))
  - attempting to initiate computer shutdown from the user menu made my screen
to go darker and everything in X stopped answering, so I had to switch to the
first tty and run shutdown from there.

In short, after trying to switch a user:

  1) I didn't get new user session
  2) My current session is broken - Network is down, view is screwed - bottom
panel etc, shortcuts partially lost.

  Only computer restart fixes this.
