Before i upgraded i was 11.04 and since i have an older graphics card i
didnt get the the aps on the left hand side but a normal menu option
along the top of the screen. Now that i have upgraded to 11.10 this menu
options has gone completely. I have tried the option of holding the
shift button on boot up but nothing happens.
